Used Honda Odyssey

Making its debut in 1995, the now used Honda Odyssey had some features which made it unique. Most minivans sported sliding doors on the sides, but not the Odyssey. Instead, it came with conventional doors which swung openly, and had crank style windows. The vehicle also didn't come with a standard V6 engines as other minivans; instead it had an inline-4 cylinder engine. What made it popular was its foldable third row seat, which is quite standard with minivans today.

Honda made improvements to the vehicle in 1999, particularly upgrading the engine from the inline-4 to a V6, adding dual sliding rear doors, and installing side curtain airbags. All models came with air conditioning, antilock brakes, traction controls, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, and a nice stereo system. Some models were equipped with automatic climate controls and leather seats.

Newer Models of the Used Honda Odyssey

Although still used, the newer versions of the vehicle debuted in 2011. The vehicle was totally redesigned with the driver in mind. They have a much roomier interior, better fuel economy, and a slew of new features.

The used Honda Odyssey comes standardized with cruise control, side airbags, traction control and a CD player in the radio. They comfortably seat up to eight passengers instead of seven. They have lots of storage space in the form of in-floor storage. Power driven sliding doors are now standard as is a power driven driver's seat. Seats are leather which makes them easy to clean.

Safety Features of the Used Honda Odyssey

This vehicle scored a "Good" rating with The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in both frontal accidents and side collisions. The main contributors to this rating are the front and side airbags, antilock brakes, and traction control.

When looking at reviews for the vehicle, it remains to be a consumer favorite especially when it came to families. One great feature is the fantastic rear entertainment system to keep anyone occupied. One of the biggest things that people like is the in-floor storage as it keeps everything tucked away which leaves more room for passenger comfort. This is definitely a vehicle that a family should consider purchasing when they go to look at replacing their current vehicle.
